Clearly Canadian Beverage Corp. has launched an instant-win under-the-cap-sweepstakes, which is being promoted on some 3.4 million packages of Clearly Canadian bottles distributed in the U.S.
The promotion, “A Vacation Under Every Cap,” offers consumers a chance to win an all-inclusive, five-day Carnival Cruise for two, one of seven Mexican resort vacations or $100 travel vouchers.
Buyers look under the cap of specially marked bottles of Clearly Canadian flavored water for a message indicating they won one of the eight trips or a $100 voucher off a vacation. Consumers can also request a cap from the company by mail. Every cap is a winner.
The travel voucher is redeemable through Odenza Marketing Group, a full-service travel incentive agency with offices in San Diego and Burnaby, British Columbia. Consumers may use up to three travel vouchers off any vacation packaged offered on Clearly.odenza.com, said Valerie Samson, a spokesperson for Clearly Canadian.
“This is a great way to provide consumers with a bonus. It’s enticing for people looking to go somewhere warm,” Samson said of the promotion.
The sweepstakes is supported by Internet and P-O-S materials and in-store merchandising. The promotion runs through March 31, 2005.
The company is also running a similar sweepstakes in Canada through 600,000 packages of the drink, Samson said.
Clearly Canadian, based in Vancouver, B.C., manufactures alternative beverages and products, including Clearly Canadian sparkling water, Clearly Canadian O+2, bottled water containing 200% to 300% more oxygen than other bottled water and Tré Limone, a sparkling lemon-ginger drink.
