Appealing to teens, Cingular Wireless has tied in with Universal Music Group artist Busted. The band is already hot on the European music charts and about to make its debut in the states.
Schools across the country will compete for a private concert by the up-and-coming teen group this fall. Cingular will spread the word about the contest through micro sites on Alloy.com and CCS.com with a combined reach of over 2 million consumers. Also, a targeted e-mail blast will also go out to 500,000 Alloy and CCS database members to drive awareness for the promotion.
Eighty-nine high schools will feature Teen Source boards that spread word of the promotion and drive student traffic to the Web sites for a chance to win the concert for their school.
