Select Comfort Income and Sales Fall

Select Comfort Corp. posted net income of $2.2 million for the fourth quarter, a decrease from $10.8 million in the prior year.

The direct marketer reported net sales of $190.7 million for the quarter ended Dec. 29, a 4% decrease from $198 million the last year.

The Minneapolis firm posted a 4% increase in online revenue for the quarter.

“Weaker-than-expected consumer spending following the Thanksgiving holiday offset positive sales trends during the first two months of the fourth quarter,” said Bill McLaughlin, CEO, in a statement.
