Playboy Posts $1.1 Million Loss

Playboy Enterprises. Inc. posted a net loss of $1.1 million for the fourth quarter compared to net income of $3.7 million in the prior year.

The firm attributed these results to in part to charges stemming from the sale of a television studio.

The direct marketer and publisher reported revenue of $85.9 million for the quarter ended Dec.3, a slight decrease from revenue of $86.2 million last year.

In its online/mobile businesses, the Chicago company posted revenue of $17.7 million for the quarter, a decline from 17.5 million in the prior year.
