Amazon.com To Sell Wine In U.S.: Report

Online retailer Amazon.com is entering the highly regulated wine direct marketing business, according to a report in the Financial Times.

According to the paper, the online retailer is entering a marketing arena in which a number of online firms have flamed out. State-by-state regulations make wine shipping a difficult business to manage, according to the Financial Times.

Amazon launched a non-perishable groceries business two years ago, the paper said.
