Seagram’s is after New York bartenders to create their own tropical sensations using the newest flavor in the Seagram’s Coolers Escapes line, Tahitian Sunset.
The Tahitian Sunset Mixology Contest offers the chance for bartenders to compete live on July 26 at LQ, a Manhattan nightclub, against Big Apple’s other top mixologists. Contestants enter by sending entries to Seagrams-coolers.com and those whose cocktails tickle the taste buds of judges will be invited to mix it up live at LQ. Tahitian Sunset is a blend of mandarin, pineapple and pomegranate.
The grand-prize winner gets to take a friend on a five-night trip to Tahiti with accommodations and airfare sponsored by the Sheraton Hotel Tahiti and Sheraton Moorea Lagoon & Spa. The winning beverage will be featured on LQ’s cocktail menu, as well as at the two Sheraton Hotel’s popular bars.
Seagram’s Cooler Escapes launched 21 years ago and includes such flavors as Bahama Mama, Applelicious, Margarita and Cherry Fizz. United States Beverage, the maker of Seagram’s, is also the maker of Grolsch Premium Lager, Seagram’s Smooth and Hooper’s Hooch. Tahitian Sunset is one of two new flavors that launched June 1. The other, Passionate Kiss, is a blend of strawberry, lime and passion fruit.
The two new flavors are also part of a summer promotion with Audible.com that offers downloadable audio books to pair with the breezy alcoholic beverages.
Consumers purchasing Seagram’s Cooler Escapes can download two audio books from a collection of more than 30,000 titles at Audible.com/Seagrams. Consumers must subscribe to Audible.com to retrieve the downloads, but can cancel the subscription within 30 days if they so choose (PROMO Xtra, June 6, 2006).
