XM Satellite Radio Inks Placement Deal on The Apprentice

Hoping to boost new subscriptions, XM Satellite Radio is adding brand integration as the latest tactic in its marketing mix with its debut on The Apprentice this week.

In the latest product placement deal, representatives from XM Satellite Radio will challenge competing teams on the hit show to find, develop and promote a new music artist. The winning artist’s song will be rotated on XM music channels for its 5 million subscribers. XM will also air music specials focused on both artists and offer a behind-the-scenes peek of the episode on XM Live Nov. 18-20.

Apprentice fans can hear songs from both artists and receive a special holiday offer for XM Satellite Radio at XMradio.com or Apprentice.tv.yahoo.com/trump following the episode.

The Apprentice airs at Thursday 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
