TCF Bank Rewards Business Check-writers

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

TCF Bank has launched a rewards program for business checking account customers who use TCF’s Check Card debit card.

Business customers who register for the TCF Miles Plus Business Check Card earn one point for each dollar they spend on qualifying purchases. Users can redeem points for free tickets on several major airlines or a wide range of merchandise, via TCF’s own Web site.

The card launched April 1 with direct-mail support and signage. Business bankers in TCF branches also approach local businesses to register for the card.

In August, TCF began offering a TCF Miles Plus credit card to checking account customers who keep a high monthly balance. Cardholders earn points towards airline tickets; credit-card purchases are deducted monthly from holders’ checking account. Both rewards programs reinforces TCF’s core product, the Totally Free Checking Account.

Wayzata, MN-based TCF has 430 branches in Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Colorado and Indiana.
