News Brief: Scottrade begins “The Joke’s On You” contest

SCOTTRADE: the online investing firm, is underway with its second installment of “The Joke’s On You” contest, featuring the star of the firm’s “Don’t Go” television advertising campaign, Chad Ridgeway. Entrants are visiting thechadridgeway.com to submit a joke to correspond with Chad’s punch line: “… so the duck says, because my dad’s a state trooper.” Five semi-finalists will have their jokes performed by Chad on the Web site, and the voter-selected winner will be awarded $500. Similar to the first “The Joke’s On You” contest launched in April, visitors to the Web site will vote to determine the winning joke. Entrants can submit their jokes from July 21 until Aug.13.
