SBC is educating tennis fans about its all-for-one services this week with a mobile display unit at the Pilot Pen Tennis tournament held at Yale University.
SBC’s 53-foot trailer allows consumers to try out segments of its bundled services, including local calling, long-distance calling, Yahoo! DSL and SBC DISH Network Satellite TV.
While most of the features are intended to lure adults, kids are attracted to the XBox demo, where players compete against others through SBC’s DSL lines.
Consumers also have a chance to win laptops, digital cameras and music downloads from MusicNow.com through the tour’s scan and instant-win game. They can also have their photos taken digitally in front of the Pilot Pen Tennis presented by Michelob ULTRA, a U.S. Open Series Event sign as they enter, and can upload it from SBC’s Web site when they get home.
In addition, SBC is also selling its services at the trailer and is giving away a free MP3 player to anyone signing up for the DSL service.
The trailer is one of six SBC mobile display units touring the country. Aspen Marketing, Detroit, handles the mobile tour
