Hostess Pushes ‘Madagascar 2’ DVD with Sweeps, Rebate
Hostess is teaming up with DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. to promote the DVD release of “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa” with an on-pack sweepstakes offering the chance to win a trip to San Diego for an animal adventure.
People can enter to win a five-day trip to San Diego for four by registering online. The grand-prize winner will receive a five-day entry pass to the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park and SeaWorld San Diego, including airfare, hotel accommodations and $1,000 in spending money. The sweeps runs through April 30.
Movie-themed family-sized packages of Hostess Twinkies, Chocolate Cup Cakes and Donettes also carry a $4 mail-in rebate offer off the DVD. To qualify for the offer, shoppers must buy any two family-sized packages of Hostess products.
Hostess is a part of Interstate Bakeries Corp a wholesale bakers and distributors of fresh baked bread and sweet goods.
The company is supporting the promotion with an FSI dropping on Feb. 22, online marketing and P-O-P. NMA Entertainment & Marketing worked with Hostess and DreamWorks Animation on the concept and promotion execution.
