Hampton Hotels Push Olympic Sponsorship with Instant-Win Game

Hampton Hotels are promoting its sponsorship of the 2008 Olympic Games with an instant-win game.

Through June, the hotel chain is giving away daily prizes of a road bike and gift bag containing a T-shirt, water bottle and toolkit to hype up its status as the official sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Team for Cycling. Visitors can register at http://www.hamptondreams.com for the “Let the Dreams Begin” game through Sept. 3.

In July, people can enter for a chance to win the bike/gift bag combo, a pre-paid $300 gift card and a weekend stay at any Hampton Hotel’s 1,500 properties. Then in August, players can vie for a chance at the grand prize: a Create Your Own Dream vacation valued at up to $5,000.

“This was the perfect opportunity for us to reinforce the Hilton Family’s proud sponsorship of the USA Olympic team and Hampton’s specific sponsorship of USA Cycling,” Phil Cordell, senior vice president of brand management for Hampton Hotels, said in a statement.

Hilton Hotels Corp. is an official sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Team, which will extend through the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver, the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London, the 2010/2012 U.S. Paralympic Team and the 2011 U.S. Pan American Team.

Hampton Hotels are also offering a 10% discount off regular room rates to guests who book a weekend stay through Sept. 1 at http://www.Hampton.com. The chain will give members of the parent company’s loyalty program, HHonors, bonus points for those stays.

The company is promoting the game via e-mail blasts to guests, PR, banner ads and print ads in USA Today and The Wall Street Journal. It’s also marketing the game through its e-newsletter, “Hampton Connections.”

EPrize executed the game and Draftfcb Chicago and Draftfcb New York jointly handled the creative and copy for the Web site. Draftfcb Chicago also designed the print ads and logo.
