Moreover, the New York-based online firm’s first quarter results are expected to fall short of predictions, according to news reports. The reorganization is intended to lower operating costs. The company reportedly will focus on direct marketing. Garden.com anticipates a net loss of $10 million to $11 million for the 2001 first quarter. For the fiscal quarter ended June 30, the e-tailer reported a net loss of $14.5 million.
