Best Western and NASCAR Star to Play April Fool’s Joke

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Best Western International is stirring up some tomfoolery for April Fool’s Day.

The hotel chain is the official hotel of NASCAR and therefore has the clout to pull two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip into the mix.

The two are conspiring through a contest to pull a prank on an unsuspecting fan attending the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Phoenix on April 17.

Through April 1, visitors to the Best Western Racing April Fools’ promotional site can submit an idea for a prank to be played on a friend or family member at the race.

Waltrip and a panel from Best Western will judge the entries based on creativity and relevance of the submitted prank, as well as the degree of difficulty. The winner, as well as the friend or family member, will receive roundtrip airfare, lodging and tickets to the race.
