Alcohol brands are often on the cutting edge of marketing technology to interact with their social fans and followers and to show the world how hip they truly are. Music is also often in play and Bacardi is no exception.
The brand is tapping Instagram Stories, with help from BBDO New York and hip-hop artist Swizz Beatz, to let followers turn into DJs. They can view a two-record DJ set up and then tap Bacardi-branded buttons to spin and scratch their own tunes.
The Bacardi InstantDJ Experience will live on Instagram followers home pages for 24 hours and across Bacardi’s other social channels totaling close to 10 million fans and followers.
