    Vertrue Inc., a membership and loyalty program marketing firm based in Stamford, CT, an entered an agreement to purchase My Choice Medical Holdings Inc., a medical advertising and practice management firm that targets plastic surgeons.

    MaxPlanet Corp. of New York plans to begin marketing and distributing books via wireless mobile devices, following its acquisition of Wireless Ink LLC, a Web site publishing firm.

  • Walter Karl to Develop Search Engine Unit

    Walter Karl Interactive has appointed Thomas Burke to serve as director of search engine optimization in the Chicago office. Burke previously worked in a similar capacity at Consumer Base.

    In his new position, Burke will be responsible for developing a search engine and banner advertising network, which will include paid listings, search and pay-per-click search engine marketing and affiliate network services.
