Omnicom Forms Auto Marketing Group

Omnicom Group has formed a network of automotive marketing agencies under its Radiate Group umbrella.

The centerpiece of the new Radiate Automotive Marketing Services Group is Omnicom-owned AMCI (Automotive Marketing Consultants Inc.). The automotive group will collaborate with other Radiate experiential marketing agencies and Omnicom agencies in all marketing disciplines.

Marina del Rey, CA-based AMCI won the 2004 PRO Award for Event Marketing (5+ Venues) for its Mazda Rev It Up test-drive campaign, and was a PRO Award Best Idea finalist for Toyota’s Scion Behind the Wheel tour (December PROMO).

AMCI President Gordon Wangers becomes CEO of AMCI and president of Radiate’s automotive group. David Stokols succeeds Wangers as AMCI president; he had been executive VP.
