Williams-Sonoma Earnings, Revenue Rise

Williams-Sonoma Inc. reported net earnings of $35.6 million for the second quarter, up 15.4% over $30.8 million for the same quarter during the prior year.

The direct marketer and retailer posted net revenue of $825.5 million for the quarter ended July 30, a 6.4% gain over $776.2 million last year.

The San Francisco company posted direct-to-consumer revenue of $362.2 million for the quarter, a 5.9% increase over $342.1 million during the previous year.
