The Universal Postal Union has elected Charles Prescott, vice president of the Direct Marketing Association for international business development, to the office of its chairman of the consultative committee.
The Committee will succeed its Advisory Group to the Council of Administration and membership is open to organizations that have an interest in international mail traffic, according to the DMA.
The UPU is an arm of the United Nations dedicated to establishing the rules for exchange of “letter post” items.
In a separate development, the DMA has named Kevin McShane, senior vice president of database marketing services provider BeNow, chair of retail operating committee.
