UPromise has extended its college-savings program to include dry cleaners.
The company cut a deal with marketing firm Signature Channels to let UPromise’s 5 million members earn a 3% rebate from dry-cleaning bills. Rebates are deposited in members’ UPromise accounts, along with rebates from retailers, CPGs and service companies that participate in Upromise’s three-year-old loyalty marketing program.
Signature Channels VP Adrian Jordan called it “the most significant loyalty program ever to be rolled out nationally in the dry cleaning industry.” Signature Channels, Peachtree City, GA, handles marketing deals for a network of independent dry cleaners in 25 states. The network is slated to expand to all 50 states next year.
Separately, American Airlines has renewed its contract with Needham, MA-based UPromise to let American AAdvantage members redeem frequent-flier miles for cash deposits to their UPromise accounts.
AAdvantage members can redeem their first 10,000 miles for $50, then additional 5,000-mile increments for $25 each (up to $250, or 50,000 miles, per year).
