Uni-Mail List Corp., New York, located just four blocks from the World Trade Center, closed its business Friday. The offices were rendered inoperable following the devastation from the collapse of the Twin Towers.
“I have made the painful decision that after 30 years the best thing will be to close the company down,” Uni-Mail president Mike Bryant said in a statement. “It’s broken and it can’t be put back together again.”
Uni-Mail was located at 24 Broadway. On Sept. 11, the day of the terrorist attacks, employees were unable to leave the building for several hours following the collapse of the skyscrapers as debris and smoke filled the air and covered the streets.
