Trailer Park and Creative Domain have merged to form one of the largest companies handling entertainment marketing services in Hollywood.
The merger brings together Trailer Park— company widely known for its theatrical trailers for major motion pictures studios, including 20th century Fox, Disney DreamWorks, Paramount and Universal— Creative Domain, which focuses on brand building campaigns in home entertainment products, including DVDs and online games.
Lake Capital, a private equity firms that invests in growing companies, is backing the new company known as Trailer Park.
The company’s new divisions include theatrical offers (movie trailers and TV promotions), home entertainment (DVD release campaigns and video game advertising), TV, print (marketing materials for TV, movie and live entertainment marketing) and 1741 Films, Trailer Park’s commercial advertising production and motion graphics division.
“Together, the capabilities of our two films will allow us to deliver marketing services for our clients not only in theaters and on television, but via new distribution platforms, including cell phones, PDAs and other wireless devices and online,” said Tim Nett, founder and CEO of Trailer Park, in a statement.
‘With the business of entertainment marketing changing so dramatically over the last few years, this merger is a necessary part of our strategy for continued growth,” said Neal Spector, executive VP and creative director for Creative Domain, in a statement. “It also creates freedom for us to explore additional areas of entertainment marketing, such as the ever expanding world of interactive gaming, life theater on a worldwide scale, long form content beyond DVD added value and theme parks.”
