Sucking Up Attention

Icee had a national hit with a 40-cent straw-with-purchase featuring a mini-Icee cup at the top of the shaft that stays filled with Icee to the last sip. Beauty part for marketers, says TD Marketing’s Bob Tognetti, is that the see-through chamber works as a colorful advertisement to anyone within slurp-shot of the drinker. The Santa Rosa company’s nine-month exclusive with Icee is over, and it’s now taking its Strawbelly on the road. It comes in two sizes – the larger one for frozen drinks – and averages 30 cents apiece, though detailed custom designs can push the price to 99 cents. Get in touch with Tognetti at 888-385-9988 for more information.
