Shopsmith Inc. reported a third quarter net loss of $27,000 on sales of $3.7 million. The results mark a turnaround from the $24,000 in net income the Dayton, OH-base d marketer generated on $3.6 million in sales a year ago. The quarter ended Jan. 1.
Shopsmith manufactures and markets the Mark V product line. Mark Vs are five-in-one woodworking tools. The products are marketed via direct mail, the Internet and live demonstrations.
