Small Businesses Not Willing to Pay to Promote Themselves on Social Media Platforms

Social mediaAccording to a survey of 3,434 MerchantCircle member merchants, conducted by Reply, 68.7 percent of respondents use Facebook’s free tools to promote their business, followed by Google+ with 49.2 percent, Twitter with 32.8 percent and other social media platforms with 19.1 percent. However, when it comes to paid services to promote their businesses, 74.3 percent of respondents don’t use any such platforms to promote their business, while 12.6 percent use Google+, 6.6 percent use Facebook, 1.3 percent use Twitter and 10.8 percent use other paid-for social media platforms.
