A solar-powered panel to be placed atop a U.S. Postal Service processing facility in Marina Del Rey, CA, will be the largest such system on a government building in the United States. The postal service said the 127-kilowatt system is expected to cut energy consumption about 10% during peak use hours. The system will cover an area the size of a football field.
