Donald Brydon is expected to be named to be chairman of Royal Mail Holdings plc for three years from March, according to wire service reports.
He will replace Allan Leighton who has served seven years at Royal Mail.
Brydon is now chairman of Smiths Group and will join Royal Mail’s board as a non-executive director immediately.
