MemberWorks, an affinity marketing membership firm, reported third-quarter 2002 revenue of $100.8 million, down from $133.9 million in third quarter 2001. But the company was profitable, reporting $10.5 million in net income, compared to a net loss of $6.4 million a year earlier.
The quarter ended March 31.
The company sold its iPlace business, which offers products and services that allow consumers to manage their credit and personal assets on the Internet during the year.
Third-quarter 2001 included a one-time charge of $3 million, which reflected a settlement of a California investigation into the company’s marketing practices.
MemberWorks is based on Stamford, CT.
