Privacy Major Concern of DMers

Privacy is a top concern of direct marketing companies, according a new study. A Direct Marketing Association survey found that 68% of companies polled said that privacy and data security are the direct responsibilities of presidents and CEOs.

In other findings, 47% of companies sought outside consultants to develop privacy practices. Many contacted the DMA.

In 60% of firms, the respondents handling privacy are also responsible for ensuring that companies they do business with comply with their privacy policy.
