PPAI to Honor Dennis Gorman with Service Award

Dennis Gorman, a 25-year veteran of the promotional products industry, will be honored by The Promotional Products Association, during its Expo in Las Vegas in January. The 2006 PPAI Distinguished Service Award recognizes members who consistently share time and expertise with the association through volunteer service and leadership.

Gorman works for Geiger in York, PA, as the Mid Atlantic division manager. He has served on numerous committees, industry task forces and legislative conferences. He is also a speaker, teacher and writer, who has been recognized for his presentations.

As a member of a PPAI task force, he helped create the first PPAI academy, now one of the association’s most popular educational events, PPAI said. He helped develop the Regional Association Council and worked as president and VP of RAC and president of the Specialty Advertising Counselors of Delaware County.

“As a member-driven organization, we depend on our volunteers,” said PPAI president Steve Slagle, in a statement. “Dennis has made, and continues to make, a sizeable contribution to the association’s success.”

The first PPAI Distinguished Service Award was presented in 1997.
