PPAI Site Tracks Legislative and Regulatory Issues

The Promotional Products Association International has launched a Web site for its members to gain access to legislative and governmental issues affecting promotional products professionals.

The PPAI Legislative Action Watch at PPA.org, will track legislative and regulatory issues and offer contact vehicles (Web-mail forms) for state officials and representatives. Users can also track Congressional representative’s voting history on issues related to promotional products.

“The Web site gives members more direct control of the state of the industry by making it easy for them to get involved in the issues that matter,” said PPAI President Steve Slagle, in a statement. “Plus, they can customize the information they receive to just those officials who represent their districts and states.”

Members can customize the information to receive e-mail alerts that offer a call-to-action within the e-mail. The site also includes a comprehensive media guide and contacts, PPAI said.

“[The site] puts the issues in the hands of the members and gives them a fast way to respond,” Slagle said. “This interactive approach will be critical as the promotional products industry faces impending challenges like estate tax repeal and product liability.”
