We all get them: Those blue-and-white Bed Bath & Beyond coupons that arrive on a regular schedule in our mailboxes. I hold onto them for months and the store always takes them and applies them to my purchases even if the coupon has long ago expired.
I, like others, have come to rely on the coupons. Shopping at the stores only when I have a coupon to use. But for the home furnishings giant, the coupons have turned against them. Even though its revenue rose in the last quarter, it’s profit fell 10%.
