Pennzoil Launches DRTV Campaign

Pennzoil has begun a nationwide DRTV campaign for Rescue, a new product for motorists who run out of gas. The campaign, which includes 30- and 60-second spots designed to introduce Rescue and generate direct sales, was created by Century Direct, Pennzoil’s direct response agency. Rescue will roll into retail chains nationally in March, at $19.99 a can. The company says there will be an upsell offer of two free cans of Fix-a-Flat with a purchase of two cans of Rescue, which gives motorists 10 miles per can.

Pennzoil has launched a nationwide DRTV campaign for Rescue, a new product for motorists who run out of gas.

The campaign, which includes 30- and 60-second spots, is designed both to introduce the product and generate direct sales. It was created by Century Direct, Pennzoil’s direct response agency.

Scheduled to roll out nationally in retail chains next March, Rescue will sell for $19.99 a can. According to Pennzoil, motorists can drive up to 10 miles after putting into their tanks.

In addition, there will be an upsell offer of two free cans of Fix-A-Flat with a purchase of two cans of Rescue.
