Paige Premium Ties Movie Tickets to Jeans Try-On

The retailer Paige Premium Denim is rewarding customers with free movie tickets to see “Confessions of a Shopaholic” to customers who try on a pair of its movie-themed jeans.

More than 1,000 movie tickets and screening passes will be given to customers who try on a pair of “Paigeaholic” jeans at Paige Premium Denim or Bloomingdales through Feb. 20, or until supplies last.

Davie Brown Entertainment created the incentive to build sales of the limited edition jeans, which sell for $198 and feature a secret credit card pocket and a slim fit.

“We want [customers] to try on the jeans and we will get them hooked,” Farrah Louviere, director, film for Davie Brown Entertainment, said. “It’s about creating excitement, an opportunity to have something no one else has.”

“Confessions of a Shopaholic” is about a college graduate who gets a job as a financial journalist in New York City to support her shopping addiction. The Paige Premium Denim logo is featured in the film. The movie opens nationwide on Feb. 13.

Paige Premium Denim isn’t the first retailer to offer such an incentive. American Eagle Outfitters ran similar promotions offering two free movie tickets customers to drive in-store traffic.

In-store, P-O-P materials and word of mouth marketing support the promotion.
