While half of all consumers will sign up for the new federal do not call list, 56% of those age 55+ and 63% with household incomes in excess of $60,000 will, according to a new survey.
Another 20% of the wealthiest consumers sign up, compared with another 18% of a cross spectrum of Americans, according to WirthlinWorldwide, an opinion research and consulting firm based in Washington D.C.
Younger Americans, especially those between the ages of 18 and 24, are least likely to enroll with the registry.
