Norwegian Cruise Line and the Professional Golfers’ Association have teamed up in a marketing partnership that names Norwegian as the official cruise line of the PGA Tour and Champions Tour.
Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
Under the three-year agreement, the cruise line has rights to use the tour logo in its advertising, as well as promotional and tournament hospitality opportunities tied to both tours.
One of the goals behind the partnership is to drive awareness of Norwegian Cruise Line’s exclusive golf programs in Hawaii and Bermuda. The PGA and cruise line will also work to expand the golf experience to include tournaments and Tour members.
The PGA Tour has more than 105 million fans. The sport’s demographic aligns well with the cruise line’s target audience, Scott Rogers, Norwegian Cruise Line’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, said in a statement.
