Nokia, a Finnish manufacturer of cell phones and other mobile devices, has reached an agreement to acquire Boston-based Enpocket, a mobile advertising services firm. Terms have not been disclosed.
Nokia anticipates the acquisition of Enpocket will help it to expand mobile advertising business internationally.
“Enpocket and Nokia are combining to provide the leadership needed to define, build and standardize globally the business of mobile advertising,” said in a statement Mike Baker, president and CEO of Enpocket.
The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
