MTV: Music Television is building buzz around the MTV Video Music Awards launching the official celebrity and party headquarters for the awards by transforming Doubletree Surfcomber in Miami, FL, into “Hotel MTV.” Starting Wednesday, fans can take advantage of free concerts, events, pool parties and nightclubs celebrating all things VMA. Local newspapers and shops will distribute free tickets and day passes to Hotel MTV. In addition, Virgin Mobile Angels hit South Beach and hand out 100 pairs of tickets each day from Aug. 24 to Aug, 26. The 2005 MTV Video Music Awards will air live on Aug. 28 at 8PM ET/PT from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL.
