SAP GLOBAL MARKETING: Newtown Square, PA, has hired Sparks, Philadelphia, to handle events globally for the software giant. Sparks will handle about 500 events, including trade shows, sales meetings, and sponsored events, this year. The agency began working with SAP in fall 2005, using its SparksLink online portal to coordinate event execution. “We’ve already begun turning over some activities almost in their entirety to Sparks because we see that their increased capabilities are a reality and proven,” said SAP Global Marketing’s Director of Event Marketing Daniel McDevitt in a statement.
