(Catalog Age) Robert Murray will step down as CEO of multi-title business forms cataloger New England Business Service on Jan. 1.
Murray, who has led the company for seven and a half years, will become non-executive chairman. He will be succeeded as CEO by Richard Riley, who is currently COO.
NEBS has more than tripled in size, with a comparable increase in operating performance during Murray’s tenure, said lead board director Robert Gable.
Riley joined NEBS in 1997, when NEBS bought Rapidforms, of which he was president. Following the acquisition, Riley was named senior vice president of NEBS; in September 2000, he was named president, integrated marketing services in charge of the Rapidforms and McBee units. In July 2001, he was named president of NEBS Direct Marketing, then named president/COO in August 2002.
