World Wrestling Entertainment has chosen The Media Kitchen of New York City to be its media agency of record, the first in WWE’s 22-year history. Billings are $8 million.
Under this agreement, The Media Kitchen will handle planning and placement of traditional and alternative media on both the national and regional level, including consumer and trade advertising. WWE’s in-house creative team will continue to develop all creative executions across media platforms.
WWE said The Media Kitchen’s primary assignment will be support of its weekly television programs: Monday Night RAW and WWE SmackDown! The agency also will focus on promoting WWE Pay-Per-View events.
The Media Kitchen’s first initiative will advertise the recently announced $250,000 Raw Diva Search, a summer-long promotion on Monday Night Raw to find the next WWE Diva amongst a pool of women from the continental United States.
