As part of an initiative to launch new healthier menu options, McDonald’s began rolling out its Chicken Selects premium breast strips to its core menu at participating restaurants last week.
Advertising supporting the roll out of the new chicken strips debuts next week along with in-restaurant merchandising and packaging featuring such 2004 U.S. Olympic athletes as tennis superstar Serena Williams and soccer champion Mia Hamm.
To help launch new Chicken Selects, McD’s will sample the new product at six national events across the country throughout August. Sampling tour stops include Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis Aug. 6-8; New York City on Aug. 13; and Unity Day in Philadelphia on Aug. 15.
The new Chicken Selects are made with 100% white chicken breast meat, seasoned and lightly breaded. The strips are served with a choice of tangy low-fat honey mustard, spicy buffalo or creamy ranch dipping sauces.
