General Mills begins construction this month Betty Crocker Kitchen, a retail bakery outlet in the Mall of America. The store will open in mid-October, in the Camp Snoopy amusement park in the Minneapolis mall. It’s Mills’s first branded Betty Crocker store, one that may be followed by others. Advertising/promotion plans for the new store were not disclosed. Mills sold its restaurant holdings, including Red Lobster, several years ago, but continues to have an extensive food service business.
