Melissa Data Unveils Technology for E-mail List Hygiene
Next week Melissa Data plans to officially launch E-mail Object, its new e-mail address verification technology. It can be customized to verify e-mail addresses from databases, address books, spreadsheets or Web site forms.

“With E-mail Object you can remove invalid characters, as well as verify, correct and update the domains of e-mail addresses in batch or at point of entry to reduce undeliverable bounced back e-mails,” said in a statement Bud Walker, data quality tools product manager at Melissa Data.

Millions of records can be processed per hour for checking addressing syntax and matching with other database records, according to the company. Common e-mail addressing problems include double periods, character errors and misspellings.

SK&A Offers Healthcare Industry List Data Online
SK&A Information Services Inc. has introduced an online list count and ordering features at its Web site, which can be used to create lists from its Office Based Physician database.

Some 1.1 million contacts are available including 656,000 physicians, in addition to nurse practitioners, physician assistants, business managers and others in the healthcare business.

Scoring data is available based on the number of prescriptions written by individual physicians compared to his or her peers.
