Specialists Marketing Services Acquires 21st Century Marketing

Specialists Marketing Services Inc. is acquiring 21st Century Marketing. The deal is expected to close on Aug. 31. Terms have not been disclosed.
David O. Schwartz, CEO of 21st Century Marketing, has been named executive director of Specialists. Janine Vosseler of 21st Century will become a vice president at Specialists.
Specialists’ and 21st Century’s merged business-to-business groups will headed by Specialists’ executive vice president Pete Candito, with operations based in Farmingdale, NY. Corporate headquarters for the combined list management and brokerage companies will remain in Weehawken, NJ.
No other staff changes are planned, said Lon Mandel, CEO and president of Specialists. All of 21st Century’s account service teams and senior management are expected to join Specialists.
“The acquisition means we can expand our business-to-business and high tech offerings,” said Mandel. “21st Century also has a pretty large multicultural division and we’ll be able to leverage and grow that. Specialists already has a large market presence in consumer catalogs and publishing.”
VentureDirect Launches Lead Gen Site
VentureDirect Worldwide has introduced InstantHealthAlert.com, a lead generation Web site for advertisers to build lists for health and fitness product offers. Health and lifestyle data is collected via online registration and a survey questionnaire.
