[Re: Loose Cannon: How We Lost Moscow, Direct Newsline, Monday, November 12, 2007]:
The University of Idaho doesn’t care. It has no relationship with any of our companies. On the other hand, our customers will care — if we are providing them with goods or services that they value.
I suggest that everyone doing business with students or staff on the campus send their customers a first class letter letting them know that the University has decided they cannot hear from us anymore. I doubt if most know of this, or have considered what it means. Spell out in your letter what they will lose, and ask them to protest to the University officials. Censorship is never pretty, and students in particular don’t like it. It’s a small investment today to stop bigger problems tomorrow.
I’m mailing my letters this week. How about you?
