Jaguar Sponsors Boxing Fund-Raiser

Jaguar will sponsor an evening of amateur boxing and auction a car to benefit a Chicago children’s charity.

The 16th annual Ringside for Mercy’s Sake to be held Nov. 10 at the Grand Ballroom of the Chicago Marriott Downtown Hotel is a dinner-dance that will feature employees of the newly formed CME Group to raise money for Mercy Home for Boys & Girls.

The 1,200 guests will be encouraged to participate in live and silent auctions and a drawing for a 2009 Jaguar XF, all to benefit the Mercy Home, which provides safe haven for children who are victims of abuse, neglect, poverty and abandonment. Auction prizes include vacation and experience packages, sports memorabilia and jewelry.

Chances to win the car have also been available online at www.mercyhome.org/getgorgeous. The winner will be announced ringside at the event.

“Mercy Home is truly blessed by our partnership with leaders in the business and civic arenas,” said Rev. Scott Donahue, president and CEO of Mercy Home, in a statement.
