Merchant Warehouse, a provider of credit card processing equipment, software and merchant account services, has put together an infographic with some helpful information and pointers for businesses looking to boost their holiday sales by taking advantage of the mobile marketing movement.
“It’s no secret that holiday shopping delivers a surge in sales for many retailers,” the company says. “What’s less obvious is how to capitalize. Rather than simply hoping that holiday shoppers find you, the most successful retailers actively position themselves and their products to benefit as much as possible from the seasonal demand — and bring holiday buyers back.”
To that end, here are some of interesting nuggets of information to chew on:
- 55 percent of consumers express interest in mobile coupons, but only 10 percent have actually received one from a business
- Daily deals are especially profitable for photographers, health and fitness companies, retailers, and restaurants and bars
- Less than 50 percent of businesses report profitability on their first daily deal, but 75 percent of businesses running seven or more deals report positive ROI
- 84 percent of loyalty program members are more likely to choose you over a competitor
