Consumers with a passion for car racing can win a chance to catch some Indy 500 speedway action next year thanks to a Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT) sweeps.
Consumers have from May 1 to June 25 to participate in The Firestone Indy 500 Pagoda Party Sweepstakes being held to promote the tire maker’s Firehawk Indy 500 brand of tires.
Consumers can enter the sweeps by visiting participating Firestone retailers. The grand prize is a trip for 10 to the 2007 Indy 500-Mile Race. Winners will be selected on July 15 at the Firestone Indy 200 in Nashville.
“The Firestone Firehawk and Indy are two integral parts of our marketing strategy to showcase the history of the brand and the speedway,” said Phil Pacsi, executive director of consumer tire marketing, BFNT. “Our current activities with the Indy racing league further promote our brand and our Indy 500 tires to consumers.”
The Nashville-based company’s sweeps will offer additional prizes including a first prize collectible Tag Heuer Indy 500 watch and five second prizes of a set of four Firehawk Indy 500 tires. To mark the brand’s 90th anniversary of being involved in the Indy 500, 10 third-prize winners will receive an Indy 500 commemorative art piece which includes a piece of the Indy Brickyard.
The sweeps is being promoted via P-O-P in retail locations, newspaper and magazine ads and TV spots.
