Halyard Capital Buys Stake in TenUnited

TenUnited, a marketing agency with around $200 million a year in billings, has sold a majority share to Halyard Capital, and will be merged early next year with the database agency Direct Impact, according to published reports.

The new unit will be called Engauge.

Direct marketing agency legend Stan Rapp has been named chairman, the reports state. Rick Milenthal, CEO of TenUnited, will serve as CEO of the new entity.

TenUnited has offices in Columbus, Pittsburgh and Orlando. It has roughly 200 employees. Its clients include Sure Deodorant and Airborne, the reports state.

Austin, TX-based Direct Impact has roughly 100 employees, and serves clients like Sony and Best Buy.

Halyard Capital specializes in non-traditional media and marketing investments.
